Der A1 bekam als einziger das Prädikat sehr empfehlenswert: wasser- und ölabweisend, rückstandsfrei und einfach zu verarbeiten. Fünf der zehn Produkte fielen durch.\u003c\/li\u003e\n  \u003cli\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003eÖl prallt ab, nicht nur Regen.\u003c\/strong\u003e Die Ölabweisung wurde im selben Test mit Ölen geprüft, deren Oberflächenspannung der von Baumharzen ähnelt. Praktisch heißt das: Harz, Vogelkot und Straßenfilm finden schwerer Halt, und du musst seltener mit Schwamm und Schaum in ein Gewebe, dem Dr. Wack selbst nur eine geringe Scheuerfestigkeit bescheinigt.\u003c\/li\u003e\n  \u003cli\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003e400 ml, PFAS-frei, nicht nur fürs Auto.\u003c\/strong\u003e Dr. Wack führt die aktuelle Rezeptur als 100 Prozent PFAS-frei. Freigegeben ist die Dose außerdem für Markisen, Zelte und textile Kleidung, also für die Sachen, die neben dem Cabrio in derselben Garage liegen und denselben Nässeschutz brauchen.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003c\/ul\u003e\n\n\u003chr\u003e\n\n\u003cblockquote class=\"praxistipp\"\u003e\n  \u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003ePraxistipp von Detailing1:\u003c\/strong\u003e Aus unserer Praxis kostet vor allem ein Ablauf die Wirkung: Es wird in die Sonne gesprüht, weil das Verdeck dort schneller trocknet. Dr. Wack schreibt es genau umgekehrt in die eigenen Pflegetipps. Aufgesprüht wird an einem kühlen, sonnengeschützten Ort. Erst wenn das Verdeck gut ausgelüftet ist, kommt der Wagen in die Sonne, weil die Wärme das Aufrichten der Wirkstoffe erleichtert. Der Auftrag kostet je Lage keine 10 Minuten. Die Sonne danach macht die eigentliche Arbeit.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003c\/blockquote\u003e\n\n\u003chr\u003e\n\n\u003ch3\u003eMehrere dünne Lagen schlagen den einen satten Auftrag\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDose schütteln, aus rund 20 Zentimetern Abstand dünn und gleichmäßig aufsprühen, ablüften lassen, dann eine zweite dünne Lage nachlegen und bereits behandelte Stellen bewusst nicht noch einmal überfahren.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eDer Grund steht in der Mechanik. Die Wirkstoffe müssen sich beim Trocknen aufstellen, und dafür brauchen sie Platz und Luft an der Faser. Wer die Fläche sattmacht, bis sie glänzt, schwemmt sie zusammen, statt sie aufzurichten. Dr. Wack formuliert es als Verbot: Durchnässen der besprühten Flächen vermeiden, lieber mehrmals dünn aufsprühen und dem Produkt dazwischen Zeit zum Trocknen lassen.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eVor dem ersten Sprühstoß entscheidet sich, ob überhaupt etwas hält. Das Verdeck muss sauber und vollständig durchgetrocknet sein, sonst sitzt die Imprägnierung auf dem Schmutz statt auf der Faser. Und Tensidreste sind noch tückischer als Schmutz: Der Hersteller schreibt ausdrücklich, dass Rückstände von Reinigungsmittel keine Imprägnierwirkung zulassen. Nach dem \u003ca href=\"\/products\/dr-wack-a1-cabrio-verdeck-reiniger-cabrioverdeckreiniger\"\u003eVerdeck-Reiniger\u003c\/a\u003e wird deshalb so lange nachgespült, bis das ablaufende Wasser klar bleibt und sich nirgends mehr weiße Bläschen bilden. Danach bekommt der Stoff Zeit, wirklich bis in die Unterschicht durchzutrocknen.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eAbgedeckt wird alles, was kein Textil ist. Glas, Kunststoffscheiben und Lackflächen sollen nach Herstellervorgabe weder besprüht noch dem Sprühnebel ausgesetzt werden. Eine Bahn Malerkrepp entlang der Verdeckkante und ein altes Laken über der Heckscheibe reichen. Gearbeitet wird im Freien im Schatten, nicht auf einer erhitzten Fläche und nicht in der prallen Sonne.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eDie Reihenfolge auf der Fläche selbst ist unspektakulär und wichtig: Bahn für Bahn, überlappend, von einer Seite zur anderen durchziehen. Ein Verdeck ist eine geneigte Fläche, und ein Sprühstrahl, der zu lange auf einer Stelle steht, sammelt sich dort zu einem Rinnsal. Gleichmäßig heißt hier: gleich schnell, konstante 20 cm Abstand, kein Verweilen.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003ch3\u003eWeich-PVC ist die Grenze dieser Imprägnierung\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFür Verdecke aus Weich-PVC, Vinyl oder Kunstleder ist dieses Produkt laut Hersteller nicht geeignet, und dort gehört stattdessen der Kunststoff-Tiefenpfleger hin. Das ist keine Geschmacksfrage, sondern eine Materialfrage.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eWeich-PVC hat keine Fasern, die sich umhüllen ließen. Es ist eine geschlossene Schicht, die zu rund 40 Prozent aus Weichmachern besteht, und die halten den Kunststoff elastisch. Treten sie durch UV-Strahlung und Witterung aus, versprödet das Material und die eingelagerten Farbstoffe werden zerstört. Ein Vinylverdeck braucht deshalb Nachschub an Weichmachern, keinen Wasserabweiser.
