COLOURLOCK Nubuck Fresh (Peugeot) is a special care dye for rough-textured suede, nubuck, and velour surfaces in Peugeot leather interiors. Unlike Leather Colour or Leather Fresh, Nubuck Fresh is not intended for smooth pigmented leather — the formulation is designed to preserve the fine fiber structure of suede and prevent it from clumping.

With Nubuck Fresh (Peugeot) and a fine brass brush in a 5-minute care routine, the typical velour look is preserved. After drying, lightly brush again — then the fibers will be velvety once more.

Dry brush, spray, work in fiber direction

Nubuk Fresh (Peugeot) is sprayed evenly onto the suede from a distance of 20–30 cm using a spray bottle and worked into the fiber direction with a soft brush. After drying, brush again for the typical velour look.

Before care, the suede is dry-brushed with a soft suede brush or fine brass brush to remove dust and ingrained dirt. Afterwards, it is damp-cleaned with a special suede cleaner and allowed to dry completely. Only then is Nubuk Fresh (Peugeot) sprayed from a distance of 20–30 cm — avoid puddling, distribute immediately.

The color is worked into the fiber direction with a soft suede brush or fine brass brush until the pigmentation is evenly distributed. After 30–45 minutes of drying, the leather is lightly re-brushed so that the fibers stand up and the typical velvety-matte velour appearance is created. A 250 ml bottle is sufficient for about 4–5 care applications on mid-range vehicles with Alcantara steering wheels and suede seats.

Nubuk Fresh (Peugeot) is exclusively for rough-textured natural leathers — suede, nubuck, velour, and Alcantara. Pigmented Peugeot smooth leathers are treated with Leather Colour or Leather Fresh.

The special carrier solution with finely pigmented dyes combines with the rough fiber structure without clumping or weighing it down. On smooth pigmented leather, Nubuck Fresh would adhere unevenly because the typical fiber structure is missing — the care would appear blotchy rather than even. On aniline leather, the fibers would not be sufficiently protected; aniline-specific COLOURLOCK lines are needed here.

If the Peugeot vehicle has genuine suede seats, an Alcantara steering wheel, or velour door panels, Nubuck Fresh is the only correct care. If the interior, however, consists of pigmented smooth leather, Leather Fresh (Peugeot) or Leather Colour (Peugeot) is used. For mixed equipment (suede seats, smooth leather doors), both products are used in parallel.

The care routine every 6–12 months prevents deep penetration of dirt and protects the fibers from permanent fading. For heavily used vehicles or family cars, a 3-month cycle is also worthwhile. One application takes about 45 minutes per pair of seats including brushing and drying — costs per application are around 6 euros in material costs.
