COLOURLOCK Nubuck Fresh (Fiat) is a special care dye for rough-textured suede, nubuck, and velour surfaces in Fiat leather interiors. Unlike Leather Colour or Leather Fresh, Nubuck Fresh is not intended for smooth pigmented leather — the formulation is designed to preserve the fine fiber structure of suede and prevent it from sticking together.

With Nubuck Fresh (Fiat) and a fine brass brush in a 5-minute care routine, the typical velour look is preserved. After drying, lightly re-brush — then the fibers will stand up velvety again.

Dry brush, spray, work in the direction of the fibers

Nubuk Fresh (Fiat) is sprayed evenly onto the suede from a distance of 20–30 cm with a spray bottle and worked into the direction of the fibers with a soft brush. After drying, re-brush for the typical velour look.

Before care, the suede is dry-brushed with a soft suede brush or fine brass brush to remove dust and stubborn dirt. Then, it is cleaned with a special suede cleaner and allowed to dry completely. Only then is Nubuk Fresh (Fiat) sprayed from a distance of 20–30 cm — no puddling, distribute immediately.

The color is worked into the direction of the fibers with a soft suede brush or fine brass brush until the pigmentation is evenly distributed. After 30–45 minutes of drying, the leather is lightly re-brushed so that the fibers stand up and the typical velvety-matte velour look is created. A 250 ml bottle is sufficient for approximately 4–5 care applications on mid-range vehicles with an Alcantara steering wheel and suede seats.

Nubuk Fresh (Fiat) is exclusively for rough-textured natural leathers — suede, nubuck, velour, and Alcantara. Pigmented Fiat smooth leathers are treated with Leather Colour or Leather Fresh.

The special carrier solution with finely pigmented dyes binds with the rough fiber structure without sticking or weighing it down. On smooth pigmented leather, Nubuck Fresh would adhere unevenly because the typical fiber structure is missing — the care would appear spotty instead of even. On aniline leather, the fiber would not be sufficiently protected; here, aniline-specific COLOURLOCK lines are needed.

If the Fiat vehicle has genuine suede seats, an Alcantara steering wheel, or velour door panels, Nubuck Fresh is the only correct care. If the interior consists of pigmented smooth leather, Leather Fresh (Fiat) or Leather Colour (Fiat) are used. For mixed interiors (suede seats, smooth leather doors), both products are used in parallel.

Nubuk Fresh (Fiat) is the care solution for owners and detailers with genuine suede or Alcantara components — applied every 6–12 months, it keeps the leather velvety and color-stable permanently.

Suede and velour leather get dirty faster than smooth leather and fade more under UV light. The care routine every 6–12 months prevents deep penetration of dirt and protects the fibers from permanent fading. For heavily used vehicles or family cars, a 3-month rhythm is also worthwhile. One application takes about 45 minutes per pair of seats, including brushing and drying — material costs per application are around 6 euros.
