COLOURLOCK Leather Colour for Bentley: Original Standard Colour for Factory-True Leather Repairs
What is COLOURLOCK Leather Colour for Bentley? — This precisely matched standard leather colour allows for factory-original colour refreshes and repairs on Bentley leather, ensuring a consistently uniform, factory-typical finish.
COLOURLOCK Leather Colour (Bentley) is a precisely matched standard leather colour for professional repair, refreshment, and recolouring of Bentley leather interiors. The colours are based on original Bentley colour samples and are formulated to blend harmoniously with existing surfaces. Ideal for seat bolsters, steering wheels, armrests, door panels, and all pigmented smooth leathers in the vehicle interior where colour accuracy and OEM appearance are crucial.
Original Bentley Colour Tones – Developed from factory-like colour samples.
For Repair & Refreshment – Ideal for scuffs, fading, and colour loss.
Professional Finish – Optimal adhesion and uniform colour appearance.
💡 Detailing1-Workshop Practical Tip: In our workshop, we often see the same problem with Bentley detailing — colour loss on seat bolsters and steering wheels is covered up with cheap care spray that doesn't last four weeks. With Leather Colour (Bentley) dabbed on with a microfiber pad in 2–3 thin layers, with 30 mins drying time in between, and finally sealed with Top Coat Dull — the result lasts 2–3 years, just like from the factory.
Prepare, Dab on Thinly, Seal with Top Coat
Leather Colour (Bentley) is applied in 2–3 thin layers, with 30 mins drying time in between, and finally sealed with Top Coat. Thin layers last for years; thick layers crack.
Before applying the colour, the leather is cleaned with Leather Cleaner and degreased with Plastic Cleaner or cleaning alcohol. Deep cracks and scuff marks are levelled with Filler or Super Filler and sanded smooth with 1000-grit sanding fleece. The Bentley colour tones are then dabbed on with a microfiber pad, wiped with a soft brush, or, for larger repairs, applied with a spray bottle.
After complete drying for at least 4 hours, it is sealed with Top Coat — Dull for a matte-original OEM look, Glossy for medium shine, High Gloss for maximum brilliance. One litre of Leather Colour covers approximately 8–10 m² of leather surface, a 250 ml bottle is sufficient for a complete pair of seats including the steering wheel. The same workflow works for all components from the seat cushion to the door panel to the centre armrest.
Pigmented Leather Yes, Natural Leather and Suede No
Leather Colour (Bentley) is exclusively suitable for pigmented smooth leather — the standard in modern automotive applications. Natural leather, aniline leather, and suede react differently and require other COLOURLOCK product lines.
The water-based formulation bonds with the pigment layer of modern automotive leathers, remains elastic, and accommodates leather movements without cracking. With natural leather or open-pore aniline leather, the colour penetrates unevenly into the fibres and stains the leather — here, Leather Fresh (Bentley) as a care variant or special aniline lines are used. Suede, velour, and Alcantara are treated with Nubuk Fresh (Bentley), which preserves the rough fibre structure instead of gluing it.
If colour accuracy to the original factory colour is crucial and the component is to be extensively restored, Leather Colour is the right choice. If only a small area (steering wheel abrasion, individual crack) needs to be repaired, Fluid Leather (Bentley) in the 20 ml tube is more efficient and precise. If the leather only appears slightly faded, Leather Fresh as a care variant is usually sufficient.
For Detailers, Workshops, and Owners of Classic and Youngtimer Cars
Leather Colour (Bentley) is the professional choice for detailers, independent workshops, and ambitious owners who prioritize value retention and original Bentley colour accuracy over quick care solutions.
For lease returns, used car detailing, and classic and youngtimer restorations, OEM colour accuracy determines value retention and selling price. The professional 4-step workflow (clean, sand, colour, seal) takes 4 hours including drying per component and delivers a result that lasts 2–3 years, just like from the factory. One litre of Leather Colour costs about 30 cents per 100 ml of processed area — workshop calculation including Top Coat is around 12 euros per component.
For pure care routines without workshop tools, Leather Colour is overkill — there, Leather Fresh (Bentley) is sufficient. For spot repairs on the steering wheel or individual cracks, Fluid Leather or the Leather Care Sets (Bentley) are more economical. However, for those who want to restore complete seat bolsters, steering wheels, or door panels and value original Bentley colour accuracy, there's no getting around the 1-litre bottle or the 250 ml container.

Dubbi su Koch-Chemie × COLOURLOCK COLOURLOCK "Leather Colour" (Bentley) — Colore pelle standard per Bentley? Fatti spiegare:
COLOURLOCK Leather Colour (Bentley) is a water-based, elastic leather standard color in original Bentley shades. It is used for repairing, refreshing, or recoloring pigmented smooth leather in vehicle interiors — seats, steering wheels, armrests, door panels.
How do I properly apply Leather Colour (Bentley)?
First, thoroughly clean and degrease the leather. Fill and sand any damage with filler. Then, lightly dab, wipe, or spray on the Leather Colour — 2–3 thin layers are better than one thick one. After complete drying, seal with Top Coat (Dull/Glossy/High Gloss).
What is the difference to Leather Fresh?
Leather Colour is the professional repair dye (1L/250ml, can be sealed with Top Coat). Leather Fresh is the care color cream (1L/100ml) for lighter refreshes without extensive preparation. For deep abrasion → Leather Colour; for matte surfaces → Leather Fresh.
Do the colors really match Bentley exactly?
The color shades are based on original Bentley factory color samples. For heavily faded leather, we still recommend a color test in an inconspicuous area, as the original leather may darken or fade over the years.
What are the most common mistakes we see in the workshop?
Three classics: (1) Leather not degreased beforehand — paint does not adhere. (2) Layer applied too thick — cracks when drying. (3) Top Coat sealant omitted — abrasion resistance under 6 months. With proper preparation, the result lasts 2–3 years.
Do I absolutely need a Top Coat?
Yes, for lasting abrasion resistance. Without Top Coat, the color on seat bolsters and steering wheels will wear off again within a few weeks. Top Coat Dull = matte-original (OEM-look), Glossy = medium gloss, High Gloss = high gloss.
