COLOURLOCK Leather Colour for Range Rover: Original Standard Color for Factory-True Leather Repairs

What is COLOURLOCK Leather Colour for Range Rover? — This perfectly matched standard leather color enables faithful color refreshing and repairs on Range Rover leather, ensuring a consistently even, factory-typical finish.

COLOURLOCK Leather Colour (Range Rover) is an exactly matched standard leather color for professional repair, refreshing, and recoloring of Range Rover leather interiors. The colors are based on original Range Rover color samples and are formulated to blend harmoniously into existing surfaces. Ideal for seat bolsters, steering wheels, armrests, door panels, and all pigmented smooth leather in the vehicle interior where color accuracy and OEM appearance are crucial.

• Original Range Rover Hues – Developed according to factory-near color samples.
• For Repair & Refreshing – Ideal for abrasion, fading, and color loss.
• Professional Finish – Optimal adhesion and even color appearance.

💡 Pro Tip from Detailing1 Workshop: In our workshop, we often see the same problem with Range Rover detailing — color loss on seat bolsters and steering wheels is covered up with cheap care spray that doesn't last four weeks. With Leather Colour (Range Rover) dabbed on with a microfiber pad in 2–3 thin layers, with 30 min drying time in between, and finally sealed with Top Coat Dull — the result lasts 2–3 years, just like from the factory.

Prepare, dab thinly, seal with Top Coat

Leather Colour (Range Rover) is applied in 2–3 thin layers, with 30 minutes drying time in between, and finally sealed with Top Coat. Thin layers last for years, thick layers crack.

Before applying the color, the leather is washed with leather cleaner and degreased with Plastic Cleaner or rubbing alcohol. Deep cracks and abrasion marks are filled with Filler or Super Filler and sanded smooth with 1000-grit sanding fleece. The Range Rover colors are then dabbed on with a microfiber pad, wiped with a soft brush, or applied with a spray bottle for large area repairs.

After complete drying for at least 4 hours, it is sealed with Top Coat — Dull for a matte-original OEM look, Glossy for medium shine, High Gloss for maximum brilliance. One liter of Leather Colour covers approximately 8–10 m² of leather surface; a 250 ml bottle is sufficient for a complete pair of seats including the steering wheel. The same workflow works for all components from seat cushions to door panels to the center armrest.

Pigmented leather yes, natural leather and suede no

Leather Colour (Range Rover) is suitable exclusively for pigmented smooth leather — the standard in modern automotive applications. Natural leather, aniline leather, and suede react differently and require other COLOURLOCK product lines.

The water-based formulation bonds with the pigment layer of modern automotive leather, remains elastic, and follows leather movements without cracking. On natural leather or open-pore aniline leather, the color penetrates unevenly into the fibers and stains the leather patchy — in this case, Leather Fresh (Range Rover) as a care variant or special aniline lines are used. Suede, velour, and Alcantara are treated with Nubuk Fresh (Range Rover), which preserves the rough fiber structure instead of gluing it.

If color accuracy to the original factory color is crucial and the component is to be extensively restored, Leather Colour is the right choice. If only a small area (steering wheel abrasion, single crack) needs to be repaired, Fluid Leather (Range Rover) in the 20 ml tube is more economical and precise. If the leather only appears slightly faded, Leather Fresh as a care variant is usually sufficient.

For detailers, workshops, and classic and youngtimer owners

Leather Colour (Range Rover) is the professional choice for detailers, independent workshops, and ambitious owners who prioritize value retention and original Range Rover color accuracy over quick care solutions.

For leased vehicles returning, used car detailing, and classic and youngtimer restorations, OEM color accuracy determines value retention and resale price. The professional 4-step workflow (clean, sand, color, seal) takes 4 hours including drying per component and delivers a result that lasts 2–3 years like new from the factory. One liter of Leather Colour costs about 30 cents per 100 ml of processed area — workshop calculation including Top Coat is around 12 euros per component.

For pure care routines without workshop tools, Leather Colour is overkill — Leather Fresh (Range Rover) is sufficient there. For spot repairs on the steering wheel or individual cracks, Fluid Leather or the Leather Care Sets (Range Rover) are more economical. However, if you want to restore complete seat bolsters, steering wheels, or door panels and value original Range Rover color accuracy, you cannot avoid the 1-liter bottle or the 250 ml container.

Care instructions for Leather Colour (Range Rover):

Leather Colour (Range Rover) is exclusively suitable for pigmented smooth leather – the standard in modern automotive interiors. Natural leather, aniline leather, and suede react differently and require other COLOURLOCK product lines.

The water-based formula bonds with the pigment layer of modern automotive leathers, remains flexible, and follows leather movements without cracking. On natural leather or open-pored aniline leather, the colour absorbs unevenly into the fibres and discolours the leather blotchily – in these cases, Leather Fresh (Range Rover) as a care variant or special aniline lines are used. Suede, velour, and Alcantara are treated with Nubuk Fresh (Range Rover), which preserves the rough fibre structure instead of sticking it down.

If colour accuracy to the original factory colour is crucial and the component is to be extensively restored, Leather Colour is the right choice. If only a small area (steering wheel abrasion, single tear) needs to be repaired, Fluid Leather (Range Rover) in the 20 ml tube is more economical and precise. If the leather only appears slightly faded, Leather Fresh as a care variant is usually sufficient.
