Difetti medi sì, correzione pesante no

Frequently Asked Questions about the ZviZZer Thermo Allrounder Pad Medium
What is the ZviZZer Thermo Allrounder Pad Medium?
An open-cell thermo foam pad with Velcro backing in the medium of five hardness levels, marked as orange in the color system. A rubber support layer between the Velcro and the foam keeps the surface level. It is the versatile standard for light to medium correction and is matched to the One-Step polish.
Which pad do I use for which polish?
The pad color corresponds to the polish color. The orange medium pad matches the MC 3000 One-Step Polish; a harder red pad provides more cut, a soft yellow one more finish. Always choose a pad that matches the polish, otherwise friction will overheat the paintwork.
Is the pad suitable for dual-action polishers?
Yes. The rubber support layer cushions the pad and keeps the surface level, allowing it to run just as smoothly on the oscillating stroke of a dual-action polisher as it does on a rotary machine. It is precisely this layer that makes the Allrounder more versatile than a pure foam pad without a support layer.
Which pad size do I need?
This depends on the surface area. Use Ø 50 and 70 mm for mirrors, bumper edges, and tight radii, and use Ø 140 and 165 mm to quickly cover the hood and doors. For a complete detail, it is worth having the full range of sizes in orange.
How often should I change the polishing pad?
Change or clean the pad as soon as it becomes saturated with polish residue and starts to smear—in practice, this is usually after two or three sections. A clogged pad no longer produces a high-gloss finish and builds up heat. Rotating between two pads will keep a whole side of the vehicle clean.
Can polishing pads be washed and reused?
Yes, the foam pad is a wear part and can be used multiple times. Tap out the residue during work, rinse the pad in lukewarm water after use, and let it dry lying flat so that the Velcro and foam retain their shape. Do not pull a stuck pad off the backing plate while dry, as this will damage the Velcro.

Using the ZviZZer Thermo Allrounder Pad Medium
From attachment to a clear polishing film
Center the pad on the hook-and-loop backing plate of your machine so that it runs smoothly and does not vibrate. The paint must be clean, washed, and decontaminated beforehand, otherwise you will drag dirt particles across the clear coat.
Apply a pea-sized amount of MC 3000 Polish to the pad and spread it over the surface at a low speed before working it in with medium pressure. Work in sections of approximately 40 by 40 centimeters and keep the pad as flat as possible so that the pressure is applied evenly.
Prime a new pad once by working in a thin layer of polish so that the foam absorbs it evenly. Tap out any polishing dust after two or three sections while the machine is running, or switch to a fresh pad. Below 15 degrees Celsius paint temperature, the foam is more stubborn; in that case, it is better to use a slightly higher speed rather than more polish.
Notes: The Medium pad is intended for light to medium correction, not for heavy correction of deep scratches; a harder pad with a cutting polish is necessary for that. A clogged, saturated pad will only smear and will no longer produce a shine; clean or replace it in that case. Rinse the pad with lukewarm water after use, let it dry laying flat, and store it flat so that the hook-and-loop backing and foam maintain their shape.
