COLOURLOCK Nubuck Fresh (Rolls Royce) is a special care color for rough-textured suede, nubuck, and velour surfaces in Rolls Royce leather interiors. Unlike Leather Colour or Leather Fresh, Nubuck Fresh is not intended for smooth pigmented leather — the formulation is designed to preserve the fine fiber structure of suede and prevent it from sticking together.

💡 Detailing1 Workshop Practical Tip: With Rolls Royce suede seats, we often see the same user error — customers treat the suede with normal smooth leather care, then the fibers stick together and look flattened. With Nubuck Fresh (Rolls Royce) and a fine brass brush in 5-minute care, the typical velour look is preserved. After drying, brush lightly again — then the fibers will stand up velvety.
Brush dry, spray, work in fiber direction
Nubuk Fresh (Rolls Royce) is sprayed evenly onto the suede with a spray bottle from a distance of 20–30 cm and worked in in the direction of the fibers with a soft brush. After drying, brush again for the typical velour look.
Before care, the suede is brushed dry with a soft suede brush or fine brass brush to remove dust and ingrained dirt. Then, it is damp cleaned with a special suede cleaner and allowed to dry completely. Only then is Nubuk Fresh (Rolls Royce) sprayed from a distance of 20–30 cm — avoid puddles, spread immediately.
The color is worked into the direction of the fibers with a soft suede brush or fine brass brush until the pigmentation is evenly distributed. After 30–45 minutes of drying, the leather is lightly brushed again so that the fibers stand up and the typical velvety-matte velour look is created. A 250 ml bottle is sufficient for about 4–5 care applications on mid-range vehicles with Alcantara steering wheels and suede seats.

Nubuk Fresh (Rolls Royce) is exclusively for rough-textured natural leathers — suede, nubuck, velour, and Alcantara. Pigmented Rolls Royce smooth leathers are treated with Leather Colour or Leather Fresh.
The special carrier solution with finely pigmented dyes combines with the rough fiber structure without sticking or weighing it down. On smooth pigmented leather, Nubuck Fresh would adhere unevenly because the typical fiber structure is missing — the care would appear blotchy rather than even. On aniline leather, the fiber would not be sufficiently protected; here, aniline-specific COLOURLOCK lines are needed.
If the Rolls Royce vehicle has real suede seats, an Alcantara steering wheel, or velour door panels, Nubuck Fresh is the only correct care. If the interior, however, is made of pigmented smooth leather, Leather Fresh (Rolls Royce) or Leather Colour (Rolls Royce) are used. For mixed interiors (suede seats, smooth leather doors), both products are used in parallel.

One application takes about 45 minutes per pair of seats, including brushing and drying — costs per application are around 6 euros in material costs.
